The Narrative Behind Wings of Country

Wings of Country is not a series of individual designs. It is a single narrative, released across six works.

Each rug represents a different relationship between people, birds, and Country —  moving deliberately from familiarity to long-view perspective. The collection is designed to be encountered gradually, allowing meaning to build over time rather than reveal itself all at once.

This approach rewards attention. The more closely the works are engaged with, the more the narrative holds.

Galah - Presence

Galah – Presence opens Wings of Country with quiet cultural strength. The galah, familiar across paddocks and open skies, carries more than colour — it carries continuity. In this work, it reflects the everyday presence of Country: steady, watchful, and enduring. A reminder that connection to land is not always loud — it lives in the small movements, in sky, in soil, and in the spaces between.
